SITE VISIT / INSPECTION – A site visit has been arranged for 9.30am – 10.30am  Thursday, 5th November.  Please register your attendance with us by 4.00pm – Tuesday, 3rd November.  NOTEYou are required to wear hard hats & safety boots.

Description of works –  retention & upgrade of a historic timber framed villa & shop on upper Cuba St with a new single storey extension to rear.  The existing property requires seismic strengthening & re-piling & refurbishment.  The new building consists primarily of 2 meeting rooms at Ground floor with entry & breakout spaces linking the 2 buildings.
–  strong ESD component with rainwater harvesting, optimised natural daylighting, good insulation, low energy & water use fittings & low embodied energy material selections.  The new building has a lightweight steel structure, timber framed walls, a concrete ground floor & a lightweight roof.  The existing building shall be restored as far as practical to it 1923 condition, when the shops were added.  Internal walls will be reconfigured to suit new purpose but where possible flooring, trims & architraves will be retained &/or re-used where feasible.  Externally, the existing car park will be superseded by a paved front courtyard with fencing & gates and car parking.

NEWLANDS COLLEGE – Reroofing and Recladding Development

68 Bracken Road, Newlands, Wellington

Scope of  work includes, but not limited to –
Reroofing of (3) three buildings and weathertightness remediation of the Gym parapet and recladding the north wall and replacement of external doors to three buildings.

Preferred Programme:  Start date: 7 December 2020 – Completion: 30 April 2021

MOE MAJOR WORKS (COMBINED) – BOULCOTT SCHOOL & HUTT VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

Pricing:- MOE have combined both projects but separate pricing is required and essential when submitting your Tender.

The works required at Boulcott School are:
i. Construction services for a weathertightness remediation project at Boulcott School
ii. Includes cladding, framing timbers, roofing, flashings
iii. The main works will include but not limited to internal repair work
iv. The works are to be delivered in a single stage
v. There are no requirements for phasing and/or staging
vi. There are no known constraints, limitations or special requirements for the project.

The works required at Hutt Valley High School are:
i. Construction services for a weathertightness remediation project at Hutt Valley High School
ii. Work includes: – A roof restructure, exterior reclad, internal refurbishment
iii. The Tech Block W was recently damaged by a fire and remediation is needed
iv. The works are to be delivered in a single stage
v. There are no requirements for phasing and/or staging
vi. There are no known constraints, limitations or special requirements for the project.
